Getting Here

When arriving in the Fort Greely area by air, the main airport nearest the base is the Fairbanks International Airport which services all domestic and international flights. Train service is provided by the Alaska Railroad to a terminal in downtown Fairbanks. Bus routes link Fairbanks with the surrounding communities. If arriving by car from the airport, go NE on Old Airport Way toward Byers Access Road, Turn left on Byers Access Road and Right onto Airport Way. Merge onto Robert Mitchell Expressway/AK-3 N/Interstate A3 N toward Fairbanks. Go 4.5 miles and take the AK-2 S ramp toward North Pole/Delta Junction. Merge onto Richardson Highway for 102 miles and then take a right on Denali Hway/Ak-8. You will arrive at Fort Greely after 5 miles.
